DEI Practitioner | Leadership Development
Highly experienced diversity professional working in organizational diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement. Expertise in facilitation and designing initiatives to advance thriving multicultural and multigenerational environments. Having worked in global DEI both in non-profit and corporate settings, I have had the opportunity to work with employees in many countries across every continent and apply the concepts of diversity and inclusion in transnational contexts. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how systems of oppression operate in post-colonial contexts and I am skilled in helping people make meaning of racialized experiences in the workplace. Currently, I serve as the Director of Staff Experience and Belonging at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In this role, I oversee programmatic initiatives and community coalition building at the largest hospital system in North Texas. My areas of interest and research include gender equity and social inclusion, racial equity, diversity metrics, professional learning and development on DEI, and the development of equitable policies.
