PennState Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedics for a nursing job in Enola, Pennsylvania.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This role offers an exceptional experience for new RN graduates to continue to learn and grow in their nursing career while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a variety of patients. Graduate nurse residents are expected to commit to full-time employment for at least a year, as well as actively participate in all learning opportunities that are offered. Please note that monthly start dates are available.

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

6 Orthopedics is a fast paced 23 bed orthopedic and trauma unit. We serve elective orthopedic (spine, ankle and joint replacement surgeries) and trauma patients (such as rib, spine, facial, pelvic and extremity fractures). We can care for complex patients and have remote telemetry monitoring capabilities. We are recognized for our teamwork and we work closely with the physicians. As a team member on 6 orthopedics continued growth and education are encouraged and staff participate on unit and hospital committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Graduate nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact by start date.

BLS required prior to orientation completion.

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to the greater Harrisburg region with outpatient and inpatient locations in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Northern York counties. The facility, features 281 beds, a four-story Ortenzio Heart Center, and around-the-clock complex critical care for those suffering from life-threatening injuries.
